      Wow!

I am so sorry you feel so freaked out. If you met us riding without our patch there would be no difference in our actions than when we wore our patch to your Dampened Spirits event. I truly would like to meet you, or have I already? It seems that you don't speak for the Vampires MC because we received no ill will at your event. Quite the opposite and I thank God that we made it home safely after the problem we had which cut out participation short. Thanks to the folks we rode with for making my wife and I feel so welcome. Oh...and thanx "Two Stroke" will be happy to see you/everbody there.

I don't think NYHC met you, you were not proselytizing, you just have personal faith. Different people react differently to public expression of faith. Please feel no animus from the club in general.

personally i don't like proselytizing either. And I found you to be fine people - you dealt with a mechanical issue effectively and without freaking out and you got into the spirit of the ride's theme. no sanctimonious complaining about actions that could have been misconstrued easily - I'm talking about the staged photos at the cemetery - would be easy to be offended, but you just rolled with it and got the humor.

FWIW, I'm about as rabidly anti-religion as they come, and you seemed like cool folks to me.

I can understand NYHC's reaction though, it probably would have been my reaction too had I not met you guys at Dampened Spirits first.

Please keep in mind that the Vampires are a very diverse group, and if you talk to four of us you're likely to get five opinions. Religion is a non-issue in our club, though--we've got Christians, Jews, Atheists, and even an offensively irreverent lapsed-Muslim agnostic, yet we're all one big weird family.

Good luck with the event. I'd stop by and say hello, but it's a bit of a haul from SF, and most of us are attending a club dinner on the peninsula later that evening.

            I like the Easter Bunny.

I got a bunch of criticism from my anthropologist sister for serving rabbit for a "resurrection party" for my 1948 F-5 truck one easter. She kept coming up to me and telling me I was eating the totem and that it is taboo to eat the totem.

I told her to think of it as transubstantiation. She still kept on about how it is taboo.

                Good memories.

Thanks for the courtesy to allow folks of different paths to voice opinions and speak freely. Please honor BFC with the participation of as many Vampires who can attend the event.

Oh forgot...I love chicken and rabbit.
