  • Two stroke help

I am trying to locate an OEM repair manual for a 1999 Yamaha YZ250 motocross bike. It appears that they are available in multiple variants. YZ260FN http://tinyurl.com/bl5jbln. YZ250L1 http://tinyurl.com/bts7z7b and others as well. I suspect the difference is two stroke and four stroke but I can't figure out a way to tell for sure which is which without having the book in hand. The vin is no clue (to me). There is a YZ250 two stroke PDF manual available for download http://tinyurl.com/brwtaek but I really prefer the book. A PDF does me no good out in the woods or miles deep into the dunes at Pismo Beach.

If anyone can help point me in the correct direction here please do so. I can get any additional information off the bike if needed.

    Thanks.

Yes, I will call Tim later when I get the chance.

      FN is four-stroke, see? http://www.partzilla.com/parts/searc...DER/parts.html
