    Monday Night Ride...

    I'm thinking of resurrecting the Monday Night Ride over here in Santa Cruz. I'm planning on starting out at Perg and just going for a decent little ride. I'd like to do this once a week as a regular thing and actually get some riding in, followed by a late dinner for those interested...

    A number of us used to do this years ago out of Cupertino and it was a lot of fun. Sometimes we'd hit the hills, others go cafe racing, coffee shop to coffee shop with a good deal of hooliganism thrown in.

    In the interest of getting beyond some of the shit and getting back to what's important (riding) I'd like to invite you Vampires to join.

    Meet at 7:00, ride departs at 7:30.

        I'm good for a Monday ride on occasion. Not this week, possibly following one. You should get word to the Creeps as well.

          Sounds like good times Greg, but crap, I didn't see the post till late Monday afternoon. Perhaps I'll make it next week.

                The ride was a hoot! we have to find a better coffee shop in Los Gatos than the one we stopped at though. other than that, I had a great time. Thanks Creech for a ton of laughs.

                  Woo.. good times... Thanks to everyone who showed up.

                  After a cup of coffee and bullshitting at Perg, we headed out to Branceforte to Laural Glen then San Jose/Soquel to Summit store for a smoke break. Note to self, fix that high beam on the motard, cuz I can't see for shit with the low beam in the hills... From there we overshot our turn on old santa cruz highway with half the group waiting at 17/summit and the other half pulled off waiting. We collect those that missed the turn and headed down Old Santa Cruz, which was a nice run on some pretty nice fresh pavement. We ended up in Los Gatos downtown where the only thing we could find open was the Apple store. Inside I ask around for an open coffee shop while a couple of the guys oogle some young Los gatos chicks they have no chance with.. Unfortunately the only thing open is a starbucks, but hell, it'll do. We head over and queue up to get our coffee on just as they close. We hang out smokin' and caffeinating for a while then we head back over 17 at a brisk pace and go our separate ways.

                      I definitely enjoyed myself. Thanks to those who attended. Plan on doing more.

                      btw, sorry I missed OSC hwy.

                      Any suggestions for next week, or the next, or the next.......?
