You should be able to find a cheap plaid skirt at a thrift store. Otherwise you can just get a yard or two of plaid fabric at a fabric store and pin it around you. If worse comes to worst, you can wear a towel or something--lots of people do it.

Real kilts are preferred, but we're not going for authenticity. It's the thought that counts.

Probably will have to hang a ball on a spring off your helmet to keep her attention, otherwise she'll just jump off the bike at the first shiny object she sees.
