  • Does It Matter If  a Nonrider Flies Here?

    Hello, everyone.
My name is Marion and I was told that I might be able to get some much needed answers for a question I have. A friend of mine recommended you for some research I need.
I am a poet (as of the moment I am unpublished). I am working on a ballad entitled The Biker's Demise.
A former biker friend of mine inspired me to write it.
In it I have an average weight girl sit on a Harley as it is parked; but she is not astride it. Is this possible? My friend says no; which means I would have to rewrite this
part of the poem; but if it is doable than I don't.
Could someone verify this for me?
I'm not a biker but I am creature of the night who loves anything vampyric.
I also have another question which is related to the poem; but will wait to ask it when I know some of you better.

Certainly it is possible to sit on a motorcycle and not be straddling it.

feet on ground, feet on footpegs on same side of bike, even kneeling or sitting cross-legged on seat... depending on which side kickstand is balance could be problematic, but one can definitely sit on bike without being astride it.

Thanks for letting me know, Lugnut.
I kinda thought it would; but have no means of trying it out.

Oh, that's what you were asking! Sure, I use my bike as a chair all the time. It's on the sidestand, I'm sitting on the seat with one foot on the left footpeg. My bike's a lot taller than the average Harley, so my feet don't reach the ground.
