New to your board and coming to San Francisco

I was sent here by a friend of a friend. I'll skip the long story about it all.
My name is Holly I live in Denver, Co or DCD if you've met any of our crazy scooterist. I ride a cafed 1974 CB360 (my first love) and a 1998 Ducati Monster 750 (my Italian whore that I love dearly but she seems to hate me right now)
I'll be in the bay area July 20th-26th. I have nothing to do and am still looking in to Hostels to stay at. I'll on the bus and/or train.
I have a friend in town that might have tix for the MotoGP that he can't use due to work. So needless to say I might have tix and no way to go.
I'm just lookin to find out about places I should and shouldn't go.
Things that are cheap or free are awesome.
If anyone knows of cheap places to stay please let me know. I can stay with my friends mom in Fremont but it's a bit far from things.

I've never been to SF other than last year for the races so I didn't really get to see much more than the airport.

If you're going to MotoGp, camping is an option. Someone who knows more about the Vampire campsite situation could possibly post more details. Myself, I'm going to have a busy weekend around MotoGp so I'll be jetting in and out of Monterey.

The closest Hostel's I know of to MotoGP would be in Santa Cruz.

Fremont would give you access to BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) which you could take up into Berkeley, and across the bay into S.F. If you wished to stay with your friends mom in Fremont, and still go to MotoGP I might be able to give you a ride. But you would either need to find your own way back, or be able to leave early.

If you stay in Santa Cruz, then you will most likely have a ride. I can bring you on whatever days I end up going. Or if you camp, Im sure the SF vamps would try to get you there.

So here's the deal. Going to the races would be great but also seems like it might be a big pian in the a*s to work out. If anyone in the bay area is going Friday and saturday I'd like to talk to you. My friend that has the ticket wants to use it on sunday if he can get his shit together. Friday I fly in to SFO at 8:34 am. I have a free ticket for those two days and would love to go, but will live without.

My main thing right now is trying to find a place to stay during the six days I'm in town. I would much rather buy food and booze for nice moto folks than give it to a hostel. I know everyone works durring the week but my plan is to go out and do so silly tourist crap for a few days. That would = me leaving in the morning and being gone most of the day.
I know I'll have one full day of a tour with Bill Niman from Niman Ranch (work related crap)
I also understand it's alot to ask anyone to take someone in for such a long time but if you know of anyone that could take me for a day or two that would be awesome. i don't mind sleeping on floors as long as rats or other strange critters aren't gettin' snuggly with me.
