  • Drag Strip & Track Day 7/24-25

First, sorry I haven't been here in a while.

Second, some friends and I are doing this if you are interested in joining us:

Friday we are going to the Famosa Drag Strip: $20

getting a cheap hotel that night

Saturday Track Day at Buttonwillow: $175 (not including special discount code that knocked it down to $140 for me)

Right now there is about 10 us going.

Damnit. If I weren't broke at the moment, I'd join you at Buttonwillow.

I always thought if there was ever a GINORMOUS tsunami or tidal wave I'd just grab my SCUBA gear and get tossed around.

No shit! He was charging $55 at the Track for a cd of all your photos. But that was still $55 per day. Some of my friends did 2 and 3 days. Only one of my friends actually bought the cd but he has a permi-grin from getting his knee down for the first time!

4theriders (they do z2 and some other track schools photography) charges $40/day for one day or $70 for two days. I've seen how hard those guys work out there, so in general they earn their money. Lookin' good at the track. Hope to see you at an upcoming track day.

Oh, and try out reno-fernley. It's like an 8+ hour drive from SLO.. but it's absolutely worth it. Riding at RFR will teach you to become a much faster and more competent street rider.

I wouldn't mind trying Reno. I think I even know people there that I could stay with... ::thinking::
