  • Back On The Road Again

Hello everyone, I am new to this site. Cruisingram turned me onto it.

Here are a couple of pictures of my pride and joy. I call her Black Beauty. She was sitting for 12 years and I spent all last winter getting her back on the road again. My bike is a 1981 Honda CB900F SuperSport and I converted the frontend to the 1983 CB1100F look.

These are the upgrades my bike has so far:

    1100F Fairing, handlebars and gauges
    Stainless steel brake lines
    Rearsets
    Hyperpro Steering Damper
    CB1000R Wheels from Australia
    Custom seat
    Taillight tuck
    Progressive fork springs
    4 into 1 Yoshimura pipe

I have the parts and will be addding these upgrades this winter:

Dyna 2000 High Performance Ignition System
    Custom Braced CB1100F Swingarm
    Reservoir Shocks

Here are 2 pictures of Black Beauty:

Hope to chat with you all on this site from time to time.

    Dave

Thanks!!! She is fun to ride too and I don't mind being seen in public with her....

Only about 2-3 weeks of riding left and I am trying to get as much saddle time as possible. I will be having fun with her over t he winter though with those upgrades.

Like I said in a previous thread. Your bike is B-A-D A-S-S!!

            BTW, my ride is your bike's grandkid...the 2002 CB900F3.

I haven't stopped in for a while but plan to get back on here regularly. Lot's of things to keep me busy this summer for sure.

Been stopping by CruisingRam's shop and drooling over the bikes, tools and the projects in the making (e.g. homemade EFI conversion setup for the KZ and maybe one for my old CB in the future).

I have made a few upgrades (from around the globe) on my bike this last year:

New Stainless Cobra 4 into 1 Pipe with Titanium Can (from Germany)
                    New HyperPro Damper
                    Underbraced 1100F Swingarm
Hand Painted Honda Wing and Pinstripes
                    New Rear Shocks
                    New Sprockets and Chain
1100F Peg Backing Plates and Tarozzi Rearsets

She willl continue to get more goodies along the way. Here are a couple of pics of what she looks like now. These pics were taken to celebrate the ODO passing the 20,000k milestone. I had a fun time going around town to find photo opportunities.

                    Chat with ya soon,

                    Dave

Hey thanks man! I like your bike for sure. The pictures of your bike shows just a bit of similarity even after all these years.

How's the grandchild doin' this year? One of the guys over at the CB1100F.NET is installing one of those tanks like yours on his old bike like mine.

Dave I stil have no idea how ur bike sounds like such a sexy sport bike..

I saw a cb the other day.. listened to it sounded like a cluch having sex with 30 grit sand paper and the pistons shaking to some salsa..

Then your bike is like a hawaian vacation commercial..

                        Very cool...
