    Surf City Goodwill Run

    The 2nd. annual "Surf City Goodwill Run" is coming on Saturday, January 6. Started by a rider out of Huntington Beach, the idea is to support each other's riding community and not let the silliness of just which city deserves the title most get in the way of having fun. Make any sense? Probably not; the important thing is that we're riding to Santa Maria to meet the Huntington Beach contingent, and then turn around and escort them to Santa Cruz for a bit of a "ceremony" at the Boardwalk in the p.m.

    This will be a bit intense (300 miles in 8 hours) but it is a good excuse as any to ride.

    ALL makes of motorcycles and ALL brands of people are invited to join.

    We will leave promptly at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning (Jan.6) from Santa Cruz Harley-Davidson, 1168 Soquel Ave., and be back in town around 4 p.m.

                thanks... I missed that. Only food related thing I remember from repo Man was the generic labeled stuff.

                    Damn... I hate to derail the derail... but we've got a second starting location for the Surf City Goodwill Run. This will be:

                    All American Honda
                    6990 Soquel Ave.

                    The reason for this is that some would die before setting foot in a H-D dealership, and others would kill before visiting a metric dealer... I'm not necessarily adverse to bloodshed, just don't want it anywhere around motorcycles.

                        Tha shatting upon you suggest should be done on the HB CoC; they're thwe ones that brought the lawsuit. However... this ride is about putting that aside. By-the-by, anyone interested in joining? Or is going to be my lonely self marching off to meet the invading horde all by my lonesome?

                          NYHC apparantly has issues. I didn't even know he surfed. Kinda like "Charlie". Cant ride myself due to broken ankle but I'm all for the spirit of putting the capitolist bull shit behind us for the citizens and especialy the bikers who don't give a crap about the marketing ploy B.S.!

                          One of the reasons I never learned to surf is... well.. quite frankly, you surfer dudes are a bunch of assholes. I mean... realy. Grow up.

                            Rightous anger gets a bit tainted when an agenda surfaces.
                            I guess this means that there won't be any of Santa Cruz' infamous Vampires joing this trek.

                            On another note (given the controversy of the last one, this ought to stir up a REAL shitstorm):

                            Santa Cruz Harley-Davidson is holding a "Milk & Cookies" event on 1-13. The idea is to demythdefy (intentional bad pun) the Harley thing, answer all those question you have been just dying to ask and, in general, talk motosickles. It kicks off at 2:30 p.m., and yes, there will be milk and cookies. (They tried to get the cookies from Huntington beach, but had to settle for our own Pacific Cookie Company offerings.)
