I went to the showing of the lost boys at the boardwalk Wednesday with everyone and parked like everyone else in parallel spaces with other cars. I parked behind a Civic and gave him plenty of room to get out but i still had a bad feeling about it. So instead of moving my bike like I should have, I wrote his license plate down along with the make and model of the car. When I came back, sure enough, there was a note on the bike that a couple of people had left. Apparently they saw my bike laying on the ground and picked it up. The f**ker in the Civic hit the bike and bailed! So I gave a police report and contacted my insurance company. What pisses me off most is that it WAS in perfect shape before Wednesday. Nothing was irreversibly damaged and Ive already bought ALL the parts to repair it but Im not touching it until this is resolved.

That is the rough part about having such a beautiful bike like yours. It's like a God damn magnet for a_holes that can't control themselves or their shit!
As an insurance agent, smart thinking taking down the cars info before walking away. It can mean the difference between it being paid out under uninsured motorist, their insurance or having to pay your collision deductible because of hit and run!
Let me know if you have any questions regarding the insurance process!Courage is fear holding on a minute longer.

The folks that left the note are friends of mine, Bryan and Leyla.
I guess they saw a Vampires sticker on the bike and thought it was one of ours, so Bryan shot me a PM about it when he got home.
Sorry to hear about the whole ordeal, but I'm glad you got a license plate.

UPDATE:
So my insurance agent (her name is Trixy Lyn!) said the SJPD went to the last known address of the person who hit me, only to find they don't live there anymore. The damages totaled to $1100. Trixy last told me they are waiting to see if they can find this person so I don't have to subtract my $250 deductible from the damages.
