  • Tire mount and balance?

I already tried to buy my tires locally but I got the run around when I just wanted tires.

Anyhow, anyone know somewhere (preferably south of SC) that'll do a reasonable mount and balance (at ~$40). I commute Seaside and back on the bike, so it's impossible for me to get to any shop in Santa Cruz in the 9-6 work hours during the week.

I'd like to get them changed ASAP, but I guess I could carefully slap on another 100 miles and wait 'til the weekend to hit up we all ride.

You already have the tires? That'll make it tougher. All American will almost certainly mount them backwards even if you label the rotation direction on the rim with neon paint. Everyone else will likely be "too busy".

We All Ride has always mounted and balanced tires for $5 each if you buy from them. Their prices have always been competitive enough for it to be cheaper than buying mail order and paying $40-$50 for mounting alone.

Truthfully, they aren't. Even with an additional $40 for a mount and balance, I'll still end up saving $ for what they quoted me. For whatever reason, their margin and discount on tires isn't that great. I gladly buy most everything else from there though.

Anyhow, point being, I can't make their hours save for weekends, so it doesn't help anyhow.

Just please tell me it's not the same leak I already fixed! Let me know if I can help. I "might" be able to get over to your place this weekend although it's a little risky for me still. I don't have any spare lines for that vintage but I do have access to a portable Bosch C.I.S. line repair kit I can bring over.
