My wife and I participated in your Dampened Spirits event today. We had a great time meeting everyone we could, riding with Lugnut; Steve; Rich and Charlotte. Our ride decided to blow a oil pressure sending unit and thank God we made it back home alive. Lost about a quart of oil all over the back end coating the tire as we smoked like a train home. "Bessie" as my wife named her will be back on the road when the part comes in next week.

We really enjoyed the company of some mighty fine folks and look forward to future interaction and friendships. I ride an orange Harley Nightster and hope to see you around town. Thank You everyone!

Good meeting you both as well. I suspected it was an oil pressure unit while we were parked at CHP.

I had a cage that leaked a lot of oil - called her Valdez.

Update...

Bessie, (1982 Honda CB750F Super Sport), has been fixed for a few weeks now and not a drop of oil. Replaced the oil pressure sending unit and the point cover also, (was destroyed when me wife crashed her the next week), and haven't had a leak since. Put a few hundred miles on her in the past couple weeks and she is in true form for an old lady. Had a great time and thanx for the pictures of the incident. Now archived in my wifes records...LOL.
