    Hey all!

The name is David and I met many of you great folk on the Dark Ride this past thursday. I ride a little 250 ninja which I'd planned to swap for something bigger until John set it straight- necessary 60k miles before moving up- advice heeded, 53.3k to go!
As you can tell I haven't been riding long. However since childhood I've held an uncanny attraction to these mechanical freedom machines. I've known from the beginning of the arcade racing days, one day I'd have my own. My first experience riding was two up on a motorcycle taxi in South America. The day I returned to the states I began the process of licensing and purchasing my own.
    (Wall of Text incoming)

I met this great group of riders on a warm Thursday night- seemingly by chance though I'd imagine the universe was pulling strings that night.

Around 7ish I'm cruising east down mission and I'm about at the main intersection of HW 1 and Mission when I spot a dark rider flying past off HW 1 headed down chestnut. A stark contrast to the bland 4 wheelers that make up the general scene. I'd decided only moments before to head to Pergs for coffee, a good read, and atmosphere, and this dark knight is headed in the same direction! Long story short this mysterious rider turns out to be Justin! We get to chatting at Pergs, and before long were surrounded by Vampires and friends, enjoying good conversation and having a merry time. The ride that night was fantastic, and while my skills weren't exactly up to par, Adrian made sure it was a safe ride which helped with the fear.

Really grateful to have met all of you, see you on the street!

more time on two wheels is a good thing, small bikes teach and big bikes kill

The more time You spend on a small bike your skills will grow and you will have fun, just look at Gary on his 250. Big bikes are canibales of humans and the need for speed,I am one on that plate and paid the price to ride that fast, trust me no current speed limit plays a role in that choice. Be smart and safe.

I will not debate the merits of spending lots of time and learning to wring the shit out of small bike before moving up. I was merely pointing out that Jon likes to cause pain and/or takes pleasure in the pain of others.
