  • East Bay Newbies?

Okay, so there's a few myths about us newbies; we go too slow, we high-side/low-side a lot, and we don't know the diff. between a UJM and a streetbike. I'd like to think I don't fit into that category; I'm one a few noob's who shuts up and listens when the old-timers are talkin.

The Vampires look freakin' awesome; I'd love to join... only problem is, I'm a couple hours north of Santa Cruz, near the East Bay Hills. I know a few dudes round here that are in rider clubs, but some of those guys are a bunch of dicks that would rather make fun of your bike than try and help you be a better rider... is there a Vampire chapter up north? If not, any reccomendations?

Me an' my hacked up yamaha 250 mini-cruiser need a home... damnit, I wanna move up to a bigger bike (so I don't look like a fuckin' elephant on a tricycle >:-D) but need to ride to get that confidence.

    Thanks.

For groups a little closer to home, check out the East Bay Rats (Oakland) at http://www.eastbayrats.com or the San Francisco Motorcycle and Scooter Club http://www.sf-mc.org .  You'll often find a Vampire or two at one of their club meetings as well.

If you feel like a bit of a ride this Thursday night, head down to Santa Cruz for our meeting.
