I am spoiled for all time, guys. I had a completely surreal experience yesterday. As I'm weaving my way through some outstanding mountain roads, I stop to look around. Halfway through a smoke, I hear a distant chugging. 5 minutes later, a 78 year old man, on a 1954 BSA 500, comes putting up the hill. He stops to say hi. we talked for a few minutes about this and that, and yes, I took a picture of his bike. When he discovered that we were going the same way down the hill, he offered to lead. No problem, sir. Ok, this bike is 50 years old, has 1 piston, and 2 drum brakes. And I'm trying to keep up! Anyway, these roads in the Adelaide Hills are outstanding. Empire Grade? No. The Gorge Road. Skyline? Appitizer for The Corkscrew. Hwy 280? The Nulibar Highway! I'm going to hate leaving this place. I have never ridden roads as fun or exciting as these roads. Far fukkin out, man! 8)

Re: The Road Report From Oz.....
i stacked again. in public. got a brand new rear tire yesterday, and after a slow ride in the light mist, made a left turn. yup. hit the wet cross-walk paint. the bike spun out from under me. slid about 10-15 feet. broken mirror, broken clutch lever, broken footpeg, all left side. im ok though. 'cept my pride. 5pm. sidewalks full of people. it sucked.

it would be nice to have some info from home on occation, but no-one wants to write an e-mail, or call, or nothin'. mr. b is notorious within the family for being incommunicato by choice. plus, when i do get him on the phone, he just sits there. doesnt say anything of his own free will. the only way i have for getting any info about whats going on, is to ask you guys. now, if y'all want me to fuck off, and not post, let me know.

Re: The Road Report From Oz.....
I'm back from Perth. The place sucked in general. Anyway, new pics are up on my Yahoo Photos Page (http://photos.yahoo.com/tanker2_69). Included in this batch is the motorcycle and scooter exhibit at the Birdswood National Motor Museum. I took alot of snaps of old Vespa creations and old Triumphs just for Mr. B. At the end of the month I'm rolling out again to go to Melbourne this time. I hear The Great Ocean Road calling out for me.....
