Once Again, The War Hits Home

I dont know if any of you are aware, but in january of this year my old unit went back to Iraq. it made me very anxious to think of all my friends going back without me. well, on a long enough timeline.....

this morning, i found out that one of my dearest friends, my teacher, was killed three weeks ago in ramaji, Iraq. his name was Jens Schelbert. same age as me. came to America at the age of 15, to new orleans from Germany. his entire life was about Tanks. This man knew EVERYTHING there was to know about Tanks. and he did his best to make sure everyone else around knew the same.

all i ask is for everyone to stop for a minute, and think about the soldiers that are still over there. and pray to whomever they come home safe.

What irony for your friend to loose his life by mortar fire when he spends his working hours safe and sound inside one of America's most fortified war machines.
