Huh.. interesting. It focuses more on the helmet law than the first one. I still think forcing riders to be donors will always be scary. You fall and 5 surgeons are ready to butcher you. Would they really try to save me first?.. Oh well. I still think helmet laws are critical, but in this case all car drivers should be organ donors too. They are more of them dying every day, and not wearing helmets, or seat belts..
I think the point that columnist was trying to make was that they should have passed the helmet law, i just think the means he used to support that idea are not appropriate. You pass such a law and tomorrow they extend it to all motorcyclists ('cause you can prove the same way that riding even with a helmet is too risky), and it's just a way to make riders second class people instead of focusing on safety on the road.
