There was talk at the last meeting about getting at least some members trained in m/cycle oriented first aid procedures. we wisely shook our collective heads and agreed it would be a good idea. Time for money talks and etc.,etc.
How many of us are willing to commit 6 hours of our lives and $45 out of our wallets to learn to save lives? If anyone of you takes this class and uses these learned skills to save MY life I will gladly commpensate you the $45.
Most of you are familiar with Doc Wong and his free riding clinics. He also hosts these certified first aid/CPR classes several times a year. I talked to the Doc on the phone and tried to arrange a class just for us here in Santa Cruz but his schedule is real busy and we would need over 30 enrollments to make it worth his trouble. So, i propose as many of us as possible attend his next class on Sat. June 5th. from 9-4. If that is too short a notice, there is another clinic on Aug. 21st. If you make me be the only Vampire in attendance after I told him how enthusiastic you all where about the class we will look like saps and I'll hate you all forever. Learn what to do and not do in an emergency and is geared for motorcycle accident sceneros! The more riders out there trained in First Aid and CPR, the safer it'll be for all of us!
This is a 6 hour First Aid / CPR course which will certify you in handling the most common First Aid / CPR situations that you may run into as a motorcyclist! To top it off, you'll get your First Aid/CPR certification!!
Yes, You'll get certifications for both First Aid Certification and CPR!
If you are an EMT, I need volunteer instructors to help out! The number of volunteers will determine the number of students I can have.
So e-mail me if you're an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician).

We had this class last year which was unbelieveable! It was the BEST First Aid class I've ever been to.
They really geared the class for motorcyclists and motorcycling situations. It was so close to being a certified class that this year I just added another hour and you get the certification too!
