  • Most powerfull bike in the world?

    http://autoclassnews.com/?p=385

The Australians have a personal meaning for the expression “riding a rocket”. And this because they built a hybrid between a motorcycle and a plane engine, with many many horsepower for a terrestrial vehicle.

The model in this photos owns the world record for the most powerful bike ever, 3.800 horsepower being a colossal value for any vehicle. This project is built on a Yamaha FJ 1200, but the result has more things in common with the military ballistic, not with the road dynamic.

The 3.800 horsepower are developed by a Rolls Royce TURBOJET propeller, used for the aerospace industry. For this rocket, the sprint from 0 to 100 kph should be made in… 0 seconds! As you can see from this photo, the bike has another advantage, you can burn the one who stands behind

I wonder what gauge chain is used. Torque is probably outrageously high too, but I don't see any wheelie bars.

Probably no chain at all, if it's a turbojet or a turbofan it wont have an output shaft. Doesnt like they're piping it through an impeller assembly.
