  • Autocom vs. ??

So I'm about to spring for a bike-to-bike communication system for the upcoming honeymoon ride.

What are folks opinions on autocomm vs starcom?
Chatterbox is pretty much out since I don't want shite clining to the side of my helmet.

The only other main requirement is the use of my own earphones and can take a decent radio (thinking 2watt for the range)

I'll call the autocom "ok" or.. "Not bad". You'll need an adaptor to use your own headphones. You'll definitely want to use your own. The vox on the autocom isnt bad, but it doesn't impress me.
For short rides it's pretty damn inconvienient to hook the bloody xlr-ish cable up to your helmet.
You can borrow mine if you want to check it out, I should have another microphone/headphone set for it. But you'll need your own adaptor to use your own headphones. I don't have one.
