I'm shopping for a new rear stand. Has anyone used the forward handle Pit Bulls? I'm trying to decide rather I should stick with the tried and true, or try one of the forward handle models.

I've got one sitting around, Lockhart Phillips, yours for $20. Spool only...

No thanks. I'll buy a new one, just asking for reviews.

I don't have one but *not* mashing your fingers and subsequently knocking your bike as well as the three next to it that don't belong to you over onto their sides may have positive benefits.

I checked out both and ended up buying the standard just on the basis that the tops can be flipped for the spool or flat sides, with the forward handles you're stuck with what you buy (or you might be able to purchase the other end). I couldn't see the advantage of the forward handles, you still have to tilt the bike to lift it no matter which stand you choose.

Side note: I had a cheapie LP front stand flex from bike weight, which ended up in a tip over. The thin wall tubing on cheaper models weakens and isn't one to be trusted after repeated use, especially on heavier bikes.

I think I'll go with the standard with the switchable spool/standard tops and removable handle. Make it happen prospect.
