I think I saw 45hp on another site. If that's true, it's pretty damn pathetic but it explains the mileage.

Well they went with a 670cc parallel twin neutered with a single 36mm throttle body. If they used the 680cc V-twin power plant from the NT700V they would also be getting dual 40mm throttle body's and I imagine a lot more torque and HP but if they went with the V-twin you wouldn't have that cool storage box where the gas tank normally goes. Whatever.
:-/
I think they would have been wiser to use a 680 parallel twin with dual throttle bodies but maybe that would ad too much weight. I'm sure they had there reasons. HP isn't everything but 45? That's about what my CB-1 puts out. This other "site" wasn't some random BARF yahoo I hope.

http://www.motorcycle.com/manufactur...iew-91209.html has some engine details, and is where the 45hp came from (linked from BARF).Originally posted by the_grinch@Thatch-you sound just like an old athlete that can't face the fact that his best years are behind him. To set the record straight, I am NOT "all-Harley", and I may be putting a chain on my "Street Tracker" before I put a new belt on it.
Back on topic. The Honda looks like it would be a "Nice" bike to ride. I don't particularly like anything on my motorcycles to be associate with the word "Nice". I prefer "Fuckin eh!" or "Bitchin'". There is nothing fuckin' eh bitchin about that Honda.

Just realized the $6999 price tag...that makes up for a lot of it's shortcomings, and might make it a success for Honda."We want to be free. We want to be free to do what we want to do. We want to be free to ride. And we want to be free to ride our machines without getting hassled by The Man. And we want to get loaded."

If I was a college student, who could only afford a $7,000.00 bike. It would be very smart of me to buy one of these before a fucking BMW moneypit. I say this as a current BMW owner. Despite it's looks, I don't think many bikes can touch it in the value department. My last Honda was totaled 3 times before it was finally laid to rest needing a new frame. And at 86,000 miles, it never needed a repair, only maintenance and a lot of plastics.

Keith, to be fair, your 'money pit" BMW is an ex CHP bike. I've had a shit ton of Beemers and have never had a problem with them. All 11 of them.
And I owned all of them for about 15 minutes.Cashing Satan's checks with my dick in my hand.
