Hwy 35 fubared

So they've decided to chip seal most of Hwy 35. 21 miles total, (~10 south of 84, 84 to 92).

I talked to one of the workers while waiting for the pilot truck and they are not going to put a top coat on it, so it will remain gravely chip seal.

I rode it yesterday, on my way to visit friends on Pescadero. It was a bunch of cranky drivers, pilot cars and super slow going.

It took the fun out of the twisties. :|

Well at least the pilot cars will hopefully be done this week. They put them on overtime/night work and weekends this past week to get it done.

Cranky drivers and super slow going will however remain. Plus gnarly road rash from squids not knowing how crappy the traction is.

I guess it's time to explore roads north.
