You will probably want to ask Josh for help making it louder - I bet he knows how to put playing cards so the spokes will make noise.

The power it consumes is huge and leaves you with ZERO on that island. .

I'm hard pressed to think of a worse bike to own out there. They are outrageously expensive, 10K plus for base line models without the premium battery package. I fail to see buying used as a viable option because it's best benefit is that the new ones always have the best available batteries. You will also get Zero in the way of easy/cheap parts. Stick with cheap bikes with easy parts and repair availability.

You could get one dirt cheap at Moore and Sons in santa cruz. They can't get rid of the damn things. They offered to sell me one at half price (Taking a loss) if I bought another bike from them at the same time.

In general the Zero shouldn't need much in the way of maintenance. I'd be more concerned with the 'what ifs'. /if/ something broke in a new and fascinating way, would there be a dealer on the island who could fix the bike?

From what I hear about speed limits, roads, and whatnot on the island. I'd probably just get a DRZ400 or something.
