I had one of those. Had the U joint go out with a ton of honey on it - I'd picked the honey up at an apiary in Fort Wayne, was taking it back to Bloomington. Then a wheel came off between Indianapolis and Martinsville. Quite a trip. I guess I've been lugnut for a long time - this would have been about 1980.

I got the honey delivered on time even with the misadventures.

Mine was 2WD, had 360 which is a good motor.

How's the gas mileage on this bad boy? Maybe it would it make a good Highway 17 commute vehicle. At least I wouldn't have to worry about deer strikes!

            My 2wd F250 had a 360 V8, 4 speed manual. Got about 12 mpg.

              All-time 4x4 = 12mpg (downhill).

i think there is a very important consideration when it comes to fuel milage. see, when my wife drives our truck, she can get 18-20 mpg. i am lucky to get 16, 13 on a rally day.

i am sure it has something to do with the steel toes.
If the lights are timed at 35 mph, can we assume they are timed at 70 mph as well???

When my girlfriend drives our GTI she gets about 28mpg. I get about 19. I drive it once a week or so and managed to burn up the tires in about 5 months.

yes and no. yes because his little Yota won't get stuck, and no because you'll inevitably have to get me away from work to bail out your asses at some point for something else entirely!
